The Bhalakias just became a family of four, and big brother Ayaan couldn’t have been more excited about his new role.

Before we got started, his sister needed a quick feed, so Ayaan gave me a tour of his room — proudly showing off his lovies, especially Smiley, the clear favorite. He was gentle and focused when it came time for sibling photos, listening carefully and being extra delicate with his baby sister.

There was a moment mid-session where Ayaan had a run-in with Mom’s nursing pillow and got a little banged up. But after a few tears and a quick reset, he bounced back like a champ. We wrapped things up outside on the front porch swing — their family’s favorite hangout spot — where we captured some of the most relaxed, joyful moments of the session.

These kinds of shoots always remind me that it’s less about perfectly posed photos and more about letting each moment unfold — bumps, lovies, porch swings, and all.
