I’ve been photographing the Morenos since 2021, so when we talked about locations for this year’s shoot, it felt right to return to where it all started. We met near the Krog Street Tunnel, surrounded by over a mile of ever-changing graffiti and murals. The color, texture, and weird little corners never get old.

The kids took the lead, picking out which walls they wanted to use as backdrops while we walked up and down the street. They were into it, and having them help shape the session kept things fun and relaxed.

We wrapped up at a nearby playground, recreating a bench photo we took a few years ago. Back then, Alana was not thrilled about that photo. This time around, she couldn’t hold back the smiles.
